Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position to work on integrating computational theory with experiments on neurobiology of anxiety and fear. The successful candidate will participate in ongoing research on computational modelling of anxiety behaviours and computational neuroimaging, and develop his/her own research projects.

The group (http://www.bachlab.org) focuses on MEG, MRI, and behavioural/psychophysiological modelling. We currently host 1 PostDoc, 2 PhD students, several support staff and MSc students, and are looking for a second post-doc. The lab offers a friendly and collaborative research environment, a research-dedicated 3T MRI scanner, a fully equipped psychological/psychophysiological testing facility, access to EEG, and collaboration with MEG and 7T MRI facilities. The position is funded by the University for 2 years and paid according to work experience. The lab and its facilities are located in the University Hospital for Psychiatry Zurich (Campus Lengg).

The successful applicant will have either (a) an undergraduate degree in physics/engineering/mathematics/computer science, and a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, or (b) an undergraduate degree in biology/psychology/neuroscience, and a neuroscience PhD with a computational focus. The candidate will be experienced in human experimentation, a background in fMRI and/or M/EEG would be of advantage. Fluent English is mandatory, German is not. We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual with interest in neurobiology who develops independent research ideas within the group’s framework.

Starting date is January 2017. Applications are accepted until the position is filled. Applicants should send, in one merged PDF, a CV, publication list,
statement of research interest, and the name and contact of two references to:
