Full Professor (W3) for Computational Psychiatry

available immediately.

The successful candidate is expected to represent the field of Computational Psychiatry in research and teaching at the highest level. The aim is to develop innovative data analysis methods for the integration of data collected with very different approaches (e.g. clinical data, psychometry, neuropsychology, brain function with EEG and NIRS, MRI-based imaging of the brain, genetics, epigenetics, microbiome). Thereby the classification of common mental diseases (e.g. depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, addiction, Alzheimer’s disease) should be improved and individualized treatment algorithms should be developed and tested with regard to the prediction of treatment success.

Cooperation with other (neuro)scientific working groups at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, the center for mental health, the Tübingen Neurocampus, the DZNE, the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Tübingen, the Max Planck Institutes for Biological Cybernetics and Intelligent Systems, the Cluster of Excellence Machine Learning and the Cyber Valley Tübingen/Stuttgart is expected.

In the field of teaching, comprehensive experience evaluated as outstanding, and involvement, particularly in view of innovative curricula in the degree programs taught at the Tübingen Faculty of Medicine, as well as the active participation in lectures and other teaching formats are expected. Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent international degree and postdoctoral qualifications equivalent to the requirements for tenure. This includes evidence of teaching effectiveness.
