Research Associate – Cognitive Neuroscience

The post-holder will be expected to carry out research in the area of cognitive neuroscience, including neuroimaging and computational modelling. The post-holder will be responsible for the design and conduct of behavioural, functional neuroimaging, and other cognitive neuroscience experiments with humans, recording and analysing data and preparing the results for publication.

The successful candidate should have a PhD in computational neuroscience / mathematical psychology; or PhD in neuroscience / cognitive neuroscience / psychology / psychiatry. Experience using MATLAB, R, Python, or comparable software packages is essential. The post-holder should have knowledge of findings applying computational models to cognitive neuroscience. Considerable knowledge of computational modelling analysis techniques and associated literature with experience applying mathematical modelling techniques to data is desirable.
