The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (https://www.psychiatry.northwestern.edu/) at Northwestern University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor with interest in studying mechanisms and/or treatments for affective psychopathologies using clinical neuroscience methods. The faculty member will join a large, vibrant, multidisciplinary and highly collaborative community of neuroscientists and clinicians in a leading academic medical center located in the heart of downtown Chicago.

We encourage applicants who use multiple neuroscience techniques such as neuroimaging or psychoneuroimmunology methods to study human models of psychopathology(s). Particular consideration will also be given to applicants whose research program is consistent with the National Institute of Mental Health’s experimental therapeutics approach. Responsibilities include creating an internationally recognized research program in their specific area of clinical neuroscience, as well as mentoring students, fellows, and other trainees. Qualified candidates will have completed clinical training in psychology (PhD/PsyD candidates) or residency in adult psychiatry (MD candidates), productive postdoctoral training, a collaborative research approach, a strong track record of impactful publications, and evidence of obtaining extramural funding. Competitive start-up package and laboratory space is offered.
