Projects will focus onmechanisms underlying decision making and behavioural change in health and disorder. Whereappropriate we will encourage development of a neuroimaging component (fMRI\/MEG) to theresearch although this is not required. Potential supervisors include: <a href=\"https:\/\/iris.ucl.ac.uk\/iris\/browse\/profile?upi=RJDOL46\">Ray Dolan<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/v1.tobiashauser.ch\">Tobias Hauser<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quentinhuys.com\">Quentin Huys<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robbrutledge.com\/\">Robb Rutledge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The laboratory is located on Russell Square in London at the Max Planck UCL Centre for Computational\nPsychiatry, and is affiliated with the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging. The lab provides\naccess to an excellent research and training environment and has longstanding ties with the Gatsby\nComputational Neuroscience Unit.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strong applicants will have:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Ph.D. in neuroscience, psychology, or a related quantitative field (e.g., computer science,\t\t\t\t\t\t\tengineering, physics).\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpertise using computational approaches in the study of reinforcement learning and decision\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmaking or expertise with machine learning techniques.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDemonstrated ability\u00a0 to complete projects, as evidenced by first-author publications.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tStrong mathematical and programming skills.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThose with a background in computational neuroscience may be especially suited for this position.
