The Laboratory of Neural Computation and Cognition<\/strong> at Brown University (PI: Michael J. Frank<\/strong>) is seeking a full-time lab manager. Our lab combines multiple levels of computational modeling and experimental work to understand the neural mechanisms underlying reinforcement learning, decision making, and cognitive control.<\/p>\n

This position will expose the individual to various theoretical and methodological approaches in psychology and neuroscience, providing an excellent launching pad for future graduate studies.<\/p>\n

What?<\/h4>\n

The successful candidate will:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Develop and conduct electroencephalography (EEG), behavioral, and online (Amazon Mechanical Turk, Prolific) experiments<\/li>\n
  • Preprocess data and assist with data analysis and computational modeling<\/li>\n
  • Supervise and train undergraduate research assistants<\/li>\n
  • Prepare and submit administrative (e.g., IRB) and financial documents (e.g., grants)<\/li>\n
  • Support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Who?<\/h4>\n

    This position requires:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Bachelor???s degree in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, or related field<\/li>\n
    • Previous research experience in psychology or neuroscience lab (minimum 1-2 years preferred, equivalent combo of education and experience may be considered)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, JavaScript and\/or experience with PsychToolbox, PsychoPy, and jsPsych is strongly preferred but not required — these skills can be learned on the job. Special consideration will be given to individuals with experience collecting and\/or analyzing EEG data (or similarly complex datasets).<\/p>\n
